TrAMS group of the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens welcomed Adrián de la Fuente Ballesteros, a Ph.D. student in Analytical Chemistry from the University of Valladolid, UVa (Spain), for a research visit. Adrian’s research stay was supported by an Erasmus+ KA131 grant, awarded by the International Relations Service of his University.
Adrián is implementing his doctoral thesis in the TESEA research group, which is actively engaged in the development and validation of chromatographic methods for the analysis of contaminants in food (beehive products) and environmental samples.
During his 5-day scientific visit (11-15/09/2023) in TrAMS, Adrian discussed with the team members about ongoing research studies, recent developments, and analytical methodologies, as well as he had the opportunity to receive hands-on training with state-of-the-art instrumentation such as LC-TIMS-QTOF (Liquid Chromatography coupled to a hybrid Trapped Ion Mobility-Quadrupole Time-of-Flight system).
Thanks to this stay, collaborations have been established, which will allow us to work on joint projects for beehive products soon.
